RE: Support for the Kids Online Safety Act

Dear Congresswoman Salazar:

I am a parent of a student at Immaculata-La Salle High School in Miami, Florida.

I am writing to urge your support for the Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA), a bipartisan bill that would finally give our children the tools they need to feel protected when online. KOSA would hold Big Tech accountable for design choices that push harmful content to children on their platforms. Parents can’t protect their children alone, we need your help.

As parents, we have seen how online social platforms can hurt children’s development and also cause real mental health issues, and even prompt suicidal thoughts in some.

Please cosponsor the Kids Online Safety Act when it is reintroduced by Congressman Bilirakis and Senator Blackburn this Congress. This is a rare chance to pass meaningful, bipartisan legislation that will help protect this generation of children and the next.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
